Add a first comment to your Instagram post
Post a first comment automatically right after your Instagram post goes live, a common spot for hashtags, credits, or context you want out of the caption.
A first comment is a comment PostFast publishes on your Instagram post immediately after the post itself goes live. It's a common place to stash hashtags, credits, links, or extra context you don't want cluttering the caption.
Add a first comment
- In the composer, below the Post content field, click First Comment.
- A First Comment editor appears. Type the comment there, up to 2,200 characters, same limit as the caption.
- Schedule or post as normal.
Once Instagram confirms the original post, PostFast publishes the first comment on it automatically.
When the first comment is skipped
If the original post fails to publish, there's nothing to comment on, the first comment is skipped.
