Your recent posts are imported automatically when you connect an account

Connect or reconnect Facebook Pages, Instagram, Threads, or TikTok Business and PostFast automatically imports your last 60 days of published posts, with their full stats, including posts you never created in PostFast.

When you connect or reconnect a social account, PostFast automatically brings in the posts you already published on that account over the last 60 days, including posts you never created in PostFast. Your recent history is there from the start, complete with each post's stats, not just the posts you scheduled through PostFast.

It happens automatically

There's nothing to click. No import button, no setup. PostFast reads your recent posts from the platform and adds them on its own.

To keep a large backfill from ever delaying a post you've scheduled to go out live, PostFast staggers the start by a short, random delay. Your imported posts usually appear within a few minutes of connecting, and up to about 15 minutes.

The posts appear first, then their stats fill in, so it's normal to see a post show up before its numbers do.

Which accounts this works for

Automatic import runs for:

  • Facebook Pages
  • Instagram
  • Threads
  • TikTok Business accounts

It does not run for the other connected platforms (LinkedIn, YouTube, X, Pinterest, Bluesky, Telegram, and Google Business Profile). It also skips personal Facebook profiles, since import is Pages only, and consumer, non-Business TikTok accounts.

What gets imported

For each eligible post, PostFast brings in:

  • Your published posts from the last 60 days.
  • The image for each post, or for a video, its cover image (the thumbnail). PostFast stores the picture so your library looks complete, never the video file itself. TikTok is the exception, see the note below.
  • The full set of performance stats. Imported posts run through the same analytics pipeline as posts you publish in PostFast, so they get the complete per-platform metric set (reach, saves, shares, video watch time, and so on, depending on the platform), exactly like a post published natively through PostFast. On a large account these stats are paced in gradually, so the full numbers can take a while to populate.

Good to know

  • No duplicates, and reconnecting is always safe. PostFast matches each post by its ID and skips anything it already has, so you never get copies. A reconnect within 24 hours is a complete no-op: PostFast won't even re-list your posts. After that, reconnecting refreshes your recent history and pulls in anything new.

TikTok specifics. Two things differ on TikTok Business accounts:

  • Thumbnails. TikTok's terms don't allow us to store their media, so imported TikTok posts show a placeholder instead of a thumbnail. The post and its stats are still fully there.
  • Stats timing. TikTok stats land 24 to 48 hours after import, because that's how often TikTok refreshes that data on its side.

Do I need to do anything?

No. Connect your account as usual and your recent posts arrive on their own. You'll find them on the Posts → Published tab, alongside everything you publish through PostFast, each with its stats.

If you connected an account and don't see your recent posts after about 15 minutes, email [email protected] and we'll take a look.
