Schedule a Pin to Pinterest

PostFast connects Pinterest Business accounts. A personal account can be converted to Business for free in Pinterest's own settings.

1. Open the composer

From the sidebar, click New Post at the top. You'll land on the Create post composer.

2. Add content

Write the Pin text. PostFast splits it for you:

• The first line becomes the Pin title, trimmed to 100 characters.
• Everything after the first line becomes the description, trimmed to 800 characters. If your text is a single line, that line is used for both.

Then attach one of:

• One image (recommended 1000 x 1500 px, 2:3), up to 10 MB.
• One video.
• 2 to 5 images for a multi-image Pin. Static images only, so no GIFs.

3. Choose your Pinterest account

• In the Post settings panel on the right, open the Schedule tab.
• Select your Pinterest account. You can cross-post to other platforms at the same time.

4. Platform settings (required)

In the Post settings panel, open the Platform settings tab:

• Board - required on every Pin. PostFast syncs your boards when you connect the account, including secret boards. If a board you created later is missing, click Sync boards next to the field, or Sync Boards on the account's card on the Accounts page.
• Pin Link - the URL people land on when they click the Pin.

To set a cover for a video Pin, click the cover control on the video in the composer to open the Set Cover Photo dialog. Pick Frame takes a still from the video, Upload Cover takes a JPEG or PNG up to 8 MB. An uploaded cover takes precedence over a picked frame.

5. Schedule, post, or save

Still in the Schedule tab on the right:

• Click Pick time to schedule the Pin for a specific time.
• Click Post now to publish immediately.
• Click the arrow next to Post now to Save as Draft inside PostFast.

Good to know

• Secret boards work the same way as public ones, which makes them useful for seasonal campaigns and client previews.
• Analytics per Pin: impressions, reactions, comments, Pin clicks, and outbound clicks, plus saves and save rate over a rolling 90-day window (Pinterest's API does not expose lifetime save totals). Video Pins add MRC views, 10-second views, average watch time, V50 watch time, video starts, and 95% quartile views.
• Metrics refresh every 6 hours for Pins under 14 days old, then daily until 60 days. You can also refresh a single post's metrics by hand.
